Thank you for your prayer and concerns for Ukraine and us.
We are preparing the Ukraine spring conference well. However, there was a big confrontation between citizens in Odessa city. 37 died and about 170 were injured yesterday and the crisis is escalating.
In this situation, we are praying and having discussion on what is best to do: opening the conference as planned or postponing it until after the presidential election on the May 25 because as leaders and organizers for this conference we feel that it is not good to take a risk for so many young people in such a serious situation in Odessa. Also, we cannot be sure that we can pass the inspection zones. In this dire situation, we think that safety is of utmost importance. So we might have to postpone the conference.
Unfortunately, I cannot but propose to all of you to cancel your plans to come to Ukraine for this conference. I am very sorry for this inconvenience.
We will have a meeting today to decide the conference. I will keep you informed on any updates.
