“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.” (Isaiah 54:2)

On May 31, 2014, the National Mission Coordinators and Staff Conference was held at the late Dr. Samuel Lee’s Memorial Hall in the Korea UBF Headquarters. A total of about 50 coordinators and staff members attended nationwide.

We have studied the book of Isaiah 54 entitled, “Enlarge Your Tent" divided into 5 groups.

It gave us assurance that God will surely bless us and use us again when we all enlarge the place of our tent with God’s hope and vision, overcoming our reality and strengthening our stakes through absolute obedience to the word of God. As we know, God has richly blessed this nation and our ministry when we devoted ourselves with all our hearts and with earnest prayer to world mission work. Therefore, we all ought to press on to world mission work beyond our realities that seems be tough in raising disciples in each campus ministry.

After having lunch fellowship, Sh. Mark Yoon (Gwanak-3) gave a presentation regarding the European and CIS international conference tour programs, prayer topics and the progress of preparation of the conferences. Based on the prayer topics we earnestly prayed together for the upcoming conferences.

Afterward, Dr. John Jun gave a passionate lecture entitled, "UBF Lay Professional Missionary Work Strategy" based on (Acts 18:3). Through the lecture he explained about the origin and the meaning of UBF lay-missionary work based on the word of God and on the study.

He encouraged all the attendees to have a clear identity and to go ahead of God's flock devoting themselves to world mission work like a director general of the headquarters of each UBF center.
Depending on the experience of his CME ministry, he gave detailed instructions on how to go out to the mission field as a missionary. He also gave a direction that in order to bear powerfully world mission work all Korean lay shepherds should be strengthened spiritually and physically. Through his lecture all the attendees were assured that God is working mightily through lay professional missionaries using his wisdom and ways to save.

At the end Sh. David Kim gave prayer topics:
(1) UBF ministry may enlarge the tent of world mission work bearing Jesus' world mission command;
(2) In order to carry lay professional mission work, lay shepherds may be strengthened more spiritually and physically;
(3) European and CIS international conferences may be successful;
(4) Korean UBF lay shepherd conference on June 6-7 to be blessed.

We finished the meeting with united prayer.

In Christ

Caleb Kim
