On July 1, 8 and 15 Chicago UBF had a family discipleship special lecture three times with the same content by Isaac Choi (Chicago). It was education for parents (present, future, grandparents). At the same time, this was eye-opening for the importance of family ministry.

Children are God’s precious gifts to parents to raise them as godly offspring in order to fill the earth according to Scripture. The best way to raise children is to do discipleship as Jesus raised the Twelve. It is because God already formed a family as a disciple-making center with his divine plan and purpose.

In UBF we focus on discipleship and world campus mission through one to one Bible study ministry. This lecture emphasized the importance of raising disciples within the family as well as at campus. The way to raise our children as disciples based on the Bible and “family worship” leads to three important outcomes: 1) forming a God-centered family 2) strengthening and deepening family relationships 3) creating a strong church with evangelism and discipleship.

The world needs disciples who love Jesus more than anything else. Furthermore, we must faithfully carry Jesus’ gospel to the ends of the earth through a multigenerational approach. May God bless families in UBF with family discipleship!
