Go and Explore the Land

During the East African bible conference held in 2017, we, the East African Chapters, were given the mission of ensuring that all the countries in the region were pioneered. The countries that have not been pioneered in this region include the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea. Although there was some pioneering work going on in Tanzania by then, over time, this mission weakened and eventually completely stopped. Because of this, we began to pray in 2021 for our ministry in Uganda to pioneer the Tanzanian ministry. Our mission trip took place between the 19th – 21st of May, 2023.

Our Key verse for this mission trip was Numbers 13: 1 -2 "The LORD said to Moses, "Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe, send one of its leaders." The participants in the mission trip were Allan K. and Isaac S. We thank God for blessing our mission trip – We never experienced any challenges whatsoever. We could see that the student harvest in Tanzania is plentiful – Students are very receptive to the gospel, the student number is quite large, and the cost of living is not very high. One challenge we noted is that getting work permits for foreigners is a bit difficult. However, we need to explore setting up businesses for self-supporting work.
