"He Has Risen!"

Missouri Valley Region United Easter Bible Conference was held in St. Louis from March 30th to April 2nd with around 50 members. It was the first in-person conference after the pandemic, so the grace of God doubled upon this conference. First, we studied John’s gospel; John 1:1-18 (The Word Became Flesh) by  Paul C., John 19:16b-42 (It’s Finished) by Michael L., and John 20:1-29 (I Have Seen the Lord) by Luke Y.

Then, Joshua H. from U of I supported us with a Saturday morning devotion message based on John 11, and David W. served the special lecture titled “The Cross of Christ as the Power of God” on Saturday afternoon. Next, Paul delivered that Jesus appeared as a man to restore our zoe (eternal life), and Michael shared his testimony about how Jesus had finished his dark life in his childhood and prepared a bright future through the gospel. Luke Y. also testified the power of the resurrection of Christ, who saved him from sorrow over his sister’s death and changed him with resurrection power. The climax of the conference was the testimonies of the 2nd Gen, who repented their sins with tears and accepted Jesus again as their Savior. Especially, Danny L. (WU 1, the oldest son of James Lee) was confused by the difficulties of his family situation, but he was resurrected after he visited Asbury. His brother David also forgave his parents and asked for their forgiveness with tears.

We are so thankful for the supporting attendance of co-workers in Chicago (P. Ron & Dervilla W, Dr. Augustine S. family, Joanne K., David W.), U of I (P Joshua & Grace H.), and Indianapolis (David K.). Especially, P. Ron gave us a special promotion speech for ISBC and encouraged all attendees to join the conference to see His glory. Furthermore, all the co-workers in Missouri Valley Region (UMKC, Columbia, St. Louis, New Heart, U. City) worked together with one voice and one heart for the detailed preparation such as housing, food, music, campfire, etc. So, we believed that God blessed our loving unity abundantly with the power of the Holy Spirit from the first day until we finished the conference with the Holy Communion. May God richly bless the coming ISBC 2023 as he blessed us last weekend.
