The New Year Korean Staff Conference was held on December 5-7, 2022 at Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do. The conference theme was “I Will Do Something New” (Isaiah 43:19). There were 61 on-site participants and 20 online participants.

D*aniel Byun from the Gwanak 3 chapter opened the conference with a message on Isaiah 43:1-21 “I Will Do a New Thing." Through the Word, we were greatly encouraged and hopeful in how the Lord is able to pave new ways in the wilderness, producing rivers in the desert. In the evening, J*i Yong-geun gave a special lecture: “The Current Status of Korean Youth College Students and Ministry Direction.” The lecture introduced us to youth culture and values based on data: they favor small groups and intimate fellowship, including a stable partner with whom they can share their lives. Learning about the younger generation gave us spiritual insight and direction. On the second day, J*oshua Jeong from Inje UBF delivered a lecture on Acts 2:42-47, “Strive to Gather Together With One Mind." After learning about the early church, our prayer is to strengthen the spirit of our community in the new year. C*hang-Mu Lee (Anam 1), M*aga Gu (Gwangju 3), S*eung-Won Kim (Suwon Woncheon), J*oshua Lee (Hanyang), and C*aleb Kim (Pocheon) presented reports: “The New Thing God Has Done for Us." We were filled with gratitude after hearing how God has been working in each chapter and campus during the pandemic. On the last day, General Director R*on Ward shared a video message on Romans 15:1-13 “Give Glory to God With One Heart and One Mouth." He encouraged us to become a community that glorifies God by imitating Jesus, who accepted sinners and bore with their weaknesses.

After the message, J*ohn Seo from Chicago UBF introduced the International Summer Bible Conference 2023 with a Q&A session and a time of prayer. M*oses Kim, the Korea UBF Director, shared prayer topics. We thank God for blessing the conference abundantly. The main message is posted below in Spanish, English, and Korean.
