The 2022 Francophone conference "The Modern Disciple" was held at the “Centre de vacances de Landersen" near the Haut-Rhin eastern mountains of France from August 4-7, 2022. 64 people attended from the French speaking nations (Paris, Nantes, Aix-en-Provence), Belgium (Brussels), Switzerland (Geneva), and Canada (Montreal). R*einer and B*rigitte Schauwienold (Germany), J*ames Wood (UK) and H*elen and J*im Rarick (USA) also attended.

Preparation for the conference was focused on the younger generation (“for the youth, by the youth") with the prayer for young people to be blessed and be a blessing. God answered our prayers, and many young people from France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada worked together, taking initiative with a desire to grow and live as disciples in their generation. The messages were delivered by P*hilip Wong (Montreal), J*osué Lee Jr. (Brussels), J*ames Wood (London), and J*ean Kim (Aix-en-Provence). The passages were John 8:30-59 ("Hold on to My Teachings"), Acts 9 ("A Choice Instrument"), John 13:1-3 ("Love on Another"), and Acts 1:1-26 ("You Will Be My Witnesses") respectively. J*oseph Gnehm, M*arie-Eve Jumeau, and N*athan Wong from Montreal and H*elen Rarick from Chicago shared their life testimonies and revealed God’s life saving grace.

We were encouraged to see the younger generation actively serving the conference. Those who did not know Christ shared their heart’s desire to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. We were strengthened by God’s hope for each attendee to live as a modern disciple of Jesus in this generation.
