Haggai 1:8 “Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the LORD”.

On January 22, 2023, the Makerere UBF Student Centre was officially dedicated to God’s ministry in Uganda. We held a special dedication service in which 31 delegates from Gwangju Chapter III (Korea), P*aul C*hoi (Russia), and S*amuel Y*oo (Ethiopia) joined. We also had online congratulatory messages from the General Director, Pastor R*on W*ard; M*oses Y*oon (former GD), J*ames O*dejimi (Nigeria), and P. W*illiam L*arsen and P. D*avid P*ark from LA UBF.

The building work for the center commenced in October 2021 and although there were several challenges during the construction, we accepted God’s purpose to help us renew our calling and identity for Bible Uganda and World Mission. We thank all co-workers, especially UBF HQ, Gwangju Ch.III, LA UBF, and Philadelphia UBF chapters that directly supported this work through prayers and sacrificial giving. Through Haggai's message, we could accept that this work is for the glory of God and his honor. At the same dedication service, we also had a baptism and could remember the grace of Jesus' blood on the cross for us through Holy Communion. May God use this new house as a source of blessing for world mission from first to last.

The Makerere UBF church construction is progressing well, but for the completion of the remaining details (septic tank, electricity, sewerage) it's going to cost more than we had expected. The additional cost to finalize all the remaining parts will be about 120,000 USD. According to I*saac Song, who has been working as a site supervisor, the construction must be completed without delay to avoid further additional costs and to secure occupation permit. We pray that God may provide 120,000 USD so that we can finish all the construction work as soon as possible. Thank you for your prayers.

Uganda Makerere chapter prayer topics:

1. Completion of the church building: The parish of the church may be finished by the end of December. The complete accommodation is expected to be by the end of January next year.

2. To raise up dedicated shepherds
3. By 2042 (50th anniversary of the pioneering), 43 Ugandan campuses may be pioneered and 25 missionaries be dispatched.
