"But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.'” (Luke 2:10-11)

We give thanks and praise to our God for his wonderful love and grace. He loved us and didn’t spare His own Son Jesus but gave him up for us all! We pray that God’s reign and glory will be revealed in the world even in the midst of the Covid pandemic.

Two years have passed since the outbreak of Covid-19. However, its variants are still emerging and the world is suffering. There is no way that God's will is not in this global disaster. We believe that the Lord is patient with the world, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that we will all look forward to the day of the Lord's coming and that we will be more awake to pray for the work of salvation for all people.

Even in the midst of the pandemic, in this year God has blessed us so that the word of Christ dwells among us richly as in Colossians 3:16, the key verse of 2021. The word of Christ has enabled us not to look at the world and be gripped by fear and anxiety, but rather has filled our souls with joy and strength with the word of life. Above all, God granted us to hold the World Mission Report and the Missionary and Leaders Conference to commemorate the 60th anniversary of UBF. God blessed the faith and prayers of Korean shepherds who challenged the impossible, and this event was abundantly graceful for many gospel-workers from all over the world who participated online. Through the words of Acts 28, “Paul in His Rented House,” we learned the spirit of the apostle Paul, who preached the word even in prison. We set direction to raise a small number of key disciples. Also, through the Missionary and Leaders Conference, we were able to deeply learn the words of Philippians.

The International World Mission HQ held online forums in Korean, English, and Spanish every month to create a platform for missionaries and shepherds to communicate and to share useful information and learn. The 24-hour relay prayer campaign continued, and professional missionary testimonies were continuously aired on YouTube through the Tent Makers. Above all, there was active relief work from the International World Mission HQ and Korea HQ for those who suffered financial hardship due to the Covid pandemic and for those who suffered from diseases. We thank God for enabling us to practice the spirit of loving community of caring and serving each other. At the end of the year, a new UBF Weekly Newsletter was created and sent to our co-workers. Through this, we were able to know the news and prayer topics in our community and to pray for each other more actively. This Christmas, we are praying for offerings to help LUTH UBF and YABATECH UBF in Nigeria, Africa, to purchase Bible houses. Personally, it has been a year for me to let the Word of Christ dwell richly in my heart. Whenever I had time, I memorized the Word and meditated on it, spiritually overflowing with grace and gratitude. I thank God for Mother Barry, Missionary Grace A. Lee, and Dr. John Jun who are in good health and continue to pray for us.

No one knows how the pandemic crisis will unfold in 2022. But one thing is clear: The gospel given to us is like a shining star in the dark night sky and like a jewel, and God lives even now, ruling all things and turning the wheel of history. This God is our God who loves us and is working diligently to save the whole world through the gospel according to His promises. We pray that we will rely on this God and make the effort in prayer and discipleship in the new year as Luke 6:12-13 says, "One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles."

May God bless us to be a loving spiritual community overflowing with the Word and prayer in the new year. May God bless you, beloved co-workers, in your families and ministries with his overflowing grace!

¡Saludos a nuestros amados colaboradores de misión de UBF en el Señor!

“Pero el ángel les dijo: No temáis; porque he aquí os doy nuevas de gran gozo, que será para todo el pueblo: que os ha nacido hoy, en la ciudad de David, un Salvador, que es CRISTO el Señor. '”(Lucas 2: 10-11)

Damos gracias y alabamos a nuestro Dios por su maravilloso amor y gracia. ¡Él nos amó y no retuvo a su propio Hijo Jesús, sino que lo entregó por todos nosotros! Oramos para que el reino y la gloria de Dios se revelen en el mundo incluso en medio de la pandemia de Covid.

Han pasado dos años desde el brote de Covid-19. Sin embargo, las variantes aún están emergiendo y el mundo está sufriendo. No hay forma de que la voluntad de Dios no esté en este desastre global. Creemos que el Señor es paciente con el mundo, no queriendo que nadie perezca, sino que todos procedan al arrepentimiento (2 Pedro 3: 9). Oramos para que todos esperemos con ansias el día de la venida del Señor y que estemos más despiertos para orar por la obra de salvación para todas las personas.

Incluso en medio de la pandemia, en este año Dios nos ha bendecido para que la palabra de Cristo more ricamente entre nosotros como en Colosenses 3:16, el versículo clave de 2021. La palabra de Cristo nos ha permitido no mirar el mundo y ser atrapado por el miedo y la ansiedad, sino que ha llenado nuestras almas de alegría y fuerza con la palabra de vida. Sobre todo, Dios nos concedió la celebración del Reporte de la Misión Mundial y la Conferencia de Misioneros y Líderes para conmemorar el sexagésimo aniversario de UBF. Dios bendijo la fe y las oraciones de los pastores coreanos que desafiaron lo imposible, y este evento fue muy apreciado por muchos obreros del evangelio de todo el mundo que participaron en línea. A través de las palabras de Hechos 28, “Pablo en su casa alquilada”, aprendimos el espíritu del apóstol Pablo, quien predicó la palabra incluso en la cárcel. Establecimos la dirección para levantar un pequeño número de discípulos clave. Además, a través de la Conferencia de Misioneros y Líderes, pudimos aprender profundamente las palabras de Filipenses.

La sede de la Misión Mundial Internacional celebró foros en línea en coreano, inglés y español todos los meses para crear una plataforma para que los misioneros y pastores se comuniquen y compartan información útil y aprendan. La campaña de oración de relevo de 24 horas continuó, y los testimonios de misioneros profesionales se transmitieron continuamente en YouTube a través de Tent Makers. Sobre todo, hubo un trabajo de socorro activo desde la sede de la Misión Mundial Internacional y la sede de Corea para aquellos que sufrieron dificultades financieras debido a la pandemia de Covid y para aquellos que padecían enfermedades. Agradecemos a Dios por permitirnos practicar el espíritu de comunidad amorosa de cuidar y servirnos unos a otros. A finales de año, se creó un nuevo Boletín Semanal de UBF y se envió a nuestros colaboradores. A través de esto, pudimos conocer las noticias y los temas de oración en nuestra comunidad y orar unos por otros de manera más activa. Esta Navidad, estamos orando por ofrendas para ayudar a LUTH UBF y YABATECH UBF en Nigeria, África, para comprar casas bíblicas. Personalmente, ha sido un año para que la Palabra de Cristo more ricamente en mi corazón. Siempre que tenía tiempo, memorizaba la Palabra y meditaba en ella, espiritualmente rebosante de gracia y gratitud. Doy gracias a Dios por Madre Barry, la Misionera Grace A. Lee y el Dr. John Jun, quienes gozan de buena salud y continúan orando por nosotros.

Nadie sabe cómo se desarrollará la crisis de la pandemia en 2022. Pero una cosa está clara: el evangelio que se nos ha dado es como una estrella brillante en el oscuro cielo nocturno y como una joya, y Dios vive incluso ahora, gobernando todas las cosas y convirtiéndose en el hacedor la historia. Este Dios es nuestro Dios que nos ama y está trabajando diligentemente para salvar al mundo entero a través del evangelio de acuerdo con sus promesas. Oramos para que confiemos en este Dios y hagamos el esfuerzo en oración y discipulado en el año nuevo, como dice Lucas 6: 12-13: "En aquellos días él fue al monte a orar, y pasó la noche orando a Dios. Y cuando era de día, llamó a sus discípulos, y escogió a doce de ellos, a los cuales también llamó apóstoles:".

Que Dios nos bendiga para que seamos una comunidad espiritual amorosa rebosante de la Palabra y oración en el nuevo año. ¡Que Dios los bendiga, amados colaboradores, en sus familias y ministerios con su gracia desbordante!

사랑하는 UBF 선교 동역자님들께 주안에서 문안드립니다.

"천사가 이르되 무서워하지 말라 보라 내가 온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 너희에게 전하노라 오늘 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라" (누가복음 2:10,11)

우리를 사랑하사 독생자 예수님을 아낌없이 허락하신 우리 하나님의 크신 사랑과 은혜를 감사 찬송드립니다! 코로나 전염병으로 말미암아 고통하는 세상 가운데서도 우리 하나님의 통치와 영광이 높이 드러나기를 기도합니다.

코로나 전염병이 발생한지 2년이 지난 지금도 변종들이 만들어지며 전 지구적으로 고난 가운데 있습니다. 이러한 세계적인 재앙에 하나님의 뜻이 없을 리가 없습니다. 그 하나님의 뜻은 오직 주님께서 세상 사람들에 대하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망하지 아니하고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하심을 믿습니다. (벧후3:9) 우리가 주님의 오실 날을 소망하며 만민구원 역사를 위해 더욱 깨어 기도하며 섬기기를 기도합니다.

지난 한해 코로나 전염병 가운데서도 하나님은 2021년 요절인 골로새서 3:16 와 같이 그리스도의 말씀이 우리 가운데 풍성하도록 축복해 주셨습니다. 그리스도의 말씀은 우리로 하여금 세상을 바라보며 두려움과 염려에 사로잡히지 않게 하시고, 도리어 우리의 영혼을 생명의 말씀으로 기쁨이 충만하며 강건하게 하여 주셨습니다. 하나님은 무엇보다 UBF 설립 60주년을 기념하는 2021년도 세계선교 보고대회와 선교사, 목자 수양회를 허락하여 주셨습니다. 불가능에 도전한 한국 목자님들의 믿음과 기도를 받으시고 전 세계적으로 많은 동역자님들이 온라인으로 참여하여 큰 은혜가 있는 가운데 이 행사가 이루어졌습니다. 사도행전 28장 “바울이 셋집에서”의 말씀을 통해 감옥에 있는 상황에서도 말씀을 전파한 사도 바울의 스피릿을 배웠습니다. 소수의 제자를 양성하고자 하는 방향을 잡았습니다. 또한 선교사, 목자 수양회를 통해 빌립보서 말씀을 깊이 배울 수 있었습니다.

세계 본부에서는 매달 한국어, 영어, 스페인어 온라인 포럼을 개최하여 선교사님들, 목자님들의 소통의 장을 만들고, 유익한 내용들을 나누며 배울 수 있었습니다. 24시간 릴레이 기도운동이 꾸준히 진행되었고, 텐트 메이커즈 영상을 통한 평신도 선교사 간증 유트브 방영이 지속적으로 이루어졌습니다. 무엇보다 코로나로 인해 경제적인 어려움을 당하신 분들, 질병으로 인해 고난당하신 분들을 위해 세계본부와 한국본부의 적극적인 구제역사가 있었습니다. 이를 통해 우리가 서로를 돌아보고 섬기는 사랑의 공동체 정신을 실천할 수 있어서 하나님께 감사를 드립니다. 연말에는 UBF Weekly News Letter 를 새롭게 구축하여 동역자님들에게 보내게 되었습니다. 이를 통해 우리 공동체 내부의 소식들과 기도제목을 알고 더욱 적극적으로 서로 위하여 기도할 수 있게 되었습니다. 올해 성탄에는 고난이 많은 아프리카 나이지리아의 LUTH, YABATECH 두개 지부들의 바이블 하우스 구입을 위한 헌금을 드리고자 기도하고 있습니다. 저는 개인적으로 그리스도의 말씀을 마음에 풍성히 담는 한해였습니다. 시간이 날 때 마다 말씀을 암송하고 묵상하며 영적으로 은혜와 감사가 넘쳤습니다. 사랑하고 존경하는 마더 배리 선교사님, 그레이스 리 선교사님, 전요한 선교사님 등 모두 강건하시며 우리를 위한 중보기도를 꾸준히 감당하여 주심을 감사드립니다.

2022년에 코로나 사태가 어떻게 전개될지 아무도 모릅니다. 그러나 한 가지 분명한 것은 우리에게 주어진 복음은 캄캄한 밤하늘에 빛나는 별과 같고 보석과 같으며 또한 하나님은 지금도 살아계셔서 만유를 통치하시며 역사의 수레바퀴를 돌리신다는 것입니다. 이 하나님은 우리를 사랑하시는 하나님이요 그의 약속의 말씀대로 복음을 통해 온 세상을 구원하고자 열심히 일하고 계시는 하나님이십니다. 우리가 이 하나님을 의지하여 올해 누가복음 6:12,13절 말씀과 같이 기도와 제자양성에 힘쓰는 한 해가 되기를 기도합니다.

하나님께서 새해에 우리 모임을 더욱 말씀과 기도가 넘치는 사랑의 공동체로 축복하여 주시며 사랑하는 동역자님들의 가정과 사역지에 충만한 은혜로 함께 주시기를 기도합니다!
