The Homecoming Ceremony for Samuel Choi was held on December 6th. The late Samuel Choi was one of the pioneering members of UBF and God used him preciously for Bible Korea and the world campus mission.

He assisted Dr. John Jun in serving Jongno UBF, Korea UBF, and the worldwide ministries. He also served as a board member of UBF Korea from 1977 to 2016. He worked with Dr. John Jun and S. David Kim closely and supported their leadership wholeheartedly. He also taught a session entitled 'Oral Hygiene and Health Care' in the Korea UBF Missionary Candidate Training Program for a long time.

There are many people who came to know Jesus through the late S. Samuel Choi. M. James Kang from Bulgaria (Europe Coordinator), M. Joseph Wang from Chicago, M. Joanna Park from Baltimore, S. Young-chan Oh, S. Jacob Hwang, and S. David Song from Korea are among them. His son went to God's kingdom earlier, his eldest daughter was sent as a missionary to New Jersey in the United States, and his second daughter was sent as a missionary to Cambodia. He was devoted and faithful to the Lord and the gospel with humility and gentleness but passed away at the age of 77 at the call of God on December 3, 2021.

P. Moses Yoon (GD) delivered a message at the farewell service based on 1 Corinthians 15, “You will find life in Christ” (15:22).

As in Adam, all died, so in Christ, all are made alive. S. Samuel Choi lived with resurrection faith and ended his life in resurrection faith. He lived a beautiful life of a shepherd. Let's pray that we too may follow his example and live a life dedicated to the Lord and the Gospel. S. Abraham Jeong of the Gwanak 5 shared a heart-moving poem as a tribute to the late S. Samuel Choi.
