We arrived at 3:00 am to Managua, Nicaragua to the lovely faces of M. Juan Kim, and Sh. Mariano who greeted us with a beautifully drawn sign and smiles. We arrived at our homestay, a bedroom with 2 beds with complimentary toiletries and air-conditioner.

After 3 hours of sleep, we arose for our first class at 9:00 am. We were delighted at the welcoming culture of the Nicaragua UBF students. Everyone was friendly, excited and eager to learn. Throughout this week, we met a myriad of news students and other people in the ministry interested in English lessons and English Bible study: William, Serging, Lichi, Pamela, Cibelis, Caludia, Ana, Rebeca, Mariano, Jonathan, Wiliam, Myenor, Camelia, Layda, Daniela U., Daniela C, Billson, Dayanna, Yasiris, Arlen, Lithzy, Silvia, Maveline, Pedro, and Kayleen.

When it came for English lessons some students participated promptly, while some were very timid. With Bible study, we are amazed at the number of students interested and actually come even until 8 pm. God has truly blessed this country with the desire to know him. The students seemed to respond with acceptance, agreement, and new revelation. We can’t wait to see and hear their written testimony of how God is transforming them through Genesis one. We had a good time of fellowship simply talking with the students who were very open and hospitable even after 2 hours of studying. At times there were opportunities to fellowship in different places like Missionary Rebecca Kim’s house for lunch with Billson and Camelia. There were other times like going downtown center with Lithzy and Arlen. In all cases, we got to love the students with our conversation, emotional investment, and gifts and we were very blessed in the same way by their hearts to genuinely know and spend time with us.

Our prayer topics include a Holy Spirit filled message by Sh. Mariano based on Genesis 1, for the students to know Creator God personally, for everyone to be confident to speak in English, for our life testimony sharing on Sunday.
