“I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (John 17:23)

Thank God who has blessed us to love and serve and connect Christian brothers and sisters across our UBF boundaries for many years! Even though we have many differences and limitations, God worked hard for the Christian Unity through our precious coworkers such as Dr. Abraham Kim and Pastor Moses Yoon last year 2018.

1. From February 2nd to February 3th, KIMNET

(Kingdom Inter Mission Network) invited UBF leaders to the 2018 KIMNET PMC (Prayer Mission Center) Leadership Forum at the Norman Park College in Georgia. Dr. John Jun, the former UBF General Director and CME coordinator, shared about the evangelism, the discipleship, and the mission with the leaders from the mission organizations and the mission centered North America Korean churches. Pastor Jacob Lee from the Washington D.C. and Missionary David Kim from Indianapolis also attended and introduced our UBF One-to-One Bible study and Leadership Training and Tentmaker Lay Mission to the 30 attendants.

2. From July 23rd to July 24th, we, Dr. Abraham (theformer UBF General Director)and Sarah Kim, Pastor Jacob and Esther Lee, Missionary David and Joy Kim, and the 15 Chicago UBF coworkers attended the International Mission Leaders Conference with the new theme, “Finishing Well Together with the Next Generation Mission Leaders” at the Wheaton College in Illinois. Pastor Jacob Lee served the theme, “Spiritual Maturity,” with the title, “Teaching Method by One-to-One Bible Study. We and KIMNET leaders prayed together for the Unity and the Net Working and the Partnering for Global Mission and the Building the Next Generation leaders by education of the Evangelical World View with the 60 attendants.

3. From October 10th to October 12nd, Pastor Moses Yoon (UBF General Director) was warmly welcomed by KIMNET board members. He was presented to all as a new General Director of UBF. He was asked to bless KIMNET as a prayer servant for the opening session. 5 of UBF leaders (Pastor Abraham Kim, Jacob Lee, David Kim, Dr. Augustine Suh, and Joseph Ahn) gave valuable and useful presentations to the local church leaders and Antioch church congregations. They presented how much God blessed World campus mission (1802 missionaries in 97 countries in less than a half-century) through Self-Supporting Lay missionaries; through deep Bible study, prayer shouting “Have Faith in God”, “Go and make disciples of all nations!” One of the speakers (Professor of Fuller Seminary) wrote in his presentation about UBF as follows: “UBF is one of the best examples of Self Supporting Lay Mission.” We prayed with the 150 attendants from the other mission organizations and mission churches from the entire world. I believe that there are many more activities and efforts for the Christian Unity with NAE, Cross Global Link, ECFA, the Wheaton College, Urbana Student

Mission, the Gospel Coalition, etc... through our UBF coworkers throughout the world. I pray that in 2019 we, the UBF H.Q. may make our effort to communicate and across our boundaries more diligently not only with the KIMNET but also with the other campus ministries and the main stream mission organizations as well as with the Korean UBF for the Christians Unity that Jesus really prayed earnestly (John 17:23).
