All of them may be one

By his grace, we had CIS conference in Jan/4-6 at Irkutsk Siberia. We studied Zechariah. Pastor Changwon Kim, CIS coordinator from Korea prepared for us with study materials and bible studies. We wanted to study the whole book of Zechariah but because of the limited time we could study up to chapter 6. Many precious servants of God attended to support the conference with bible studies and prayers. They are Pastor Chang Won Kim, Dr. James and Kyunghee Suh and Shep. John Park from Korea, Pastor Ron Ward from Chicago, Msn Joshua Lee from Canada.

UBF General Director Pastor Moses Yoon attended to serve God’s word.

We CIS missionaries were greatly comforted and encouraged by their serving God’s words, prayers and fellowship together. Our man missionaries shared fellowship with them through the 2nd and 3rd nights of the conference.  I never have felt the lack of time like this in a New Year conference.

The first lecture of the conference was delivered by the 2nd gen missionary Samuel Lee of Yekaterinburg UBF with the title of “a shoot from the burning stick” with chapters 1-3. His message was powerful and graceful. He interpreted the passage well in depth and with proper applications. He himself was a shoot that God used as the first messenger for a New Year leaders conference among 2nd gen missionaries. He revealed God’s hope well that he wants to build a great house of God in CIS and the message gave us beautiful hope and vision.

The 2nd lecture was delivered by Pastor Moses Yoon with the title of “All of them may be one” from John 17. We learned how we can be one through living word of God. We prayed that CIS may become one all the more to build a holy house of God.

The 3rd lecture was delivered by Shep. Alexei of Moscow with the title of “Build a house of God” with chapters 4-6. He delivered the message that God is building a house of God in CIS through us giving victory over all difficulties by faith.

The New Year leaders meeting this year gave an opportunity to 2nd gens to serve God in many ways with God’s word, music and special songs. We pray that 2nd gen missionaries may stand firm to grow as co-workers of the ministry.

Through the New Year’s message God showed us clearly that he will advance the house of God when we become one sanctified by words of God. We pray that we may build a house of God through loving God’s words more retaining in our hearts and keeping Jesus in the center of our living. We pray that God’s words may prosper raising many disciples of Jesus and establishing many house churches this year. Most of all we pray that God may bless regional conferences (Central Asia, Ukraine, and Russia) abundantly.

Personally I was deeply moved by John’s gospel. I accepted that I can become one with God as his child only when I am set apart from the world sanctified by God’s words. By this I can help souls who are dying in this sinful world. I decided to have more time to learn God’s words than to spend my time in knowing how the world goes around by reading worldly news. I pray that I may challenge to know God’s words more and make this year to be victorious in ‘becoming one’ and disciple making. I pray that this year of pig may turn out to be the year of <<Can do>>.
