GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD

By the grace of God, on Nov 11th Colombo & Kotte UBF held its joint thanks giving worship service & a historical shepherdess swearing in ceremony in Sri Lanka UBF. M. Luke Jeon gave graceful thanks giving message "Give thanks to the LORD."(Psalms 136:1-26). In remembrance of God’s grace he has done for us during the last year we all joyfully gave thanks to God with sharing 10 thanks giving topics to God and thanks giving offering to God as well.

After this, there a graceful & historical shepherdess swearing in ceremony was held for Ruth as a first sister shepherdess in Sri Lanka UBF. M. Barnabas Baek conducted the ceremony with a graceful message based on Ruth1:14-17. Shepherdess Ruth (Her name was changed from Iresha to Ruth in Christ)  was a Buddhist who was in deep darkness and fatalism. But we praise and thanks to God for calling her out of darkness into his wonderful light and for raising her as a glorious shepherdess (which the angels would admire) for Sri Lanka campus souls. Through her evangelism her mother became a Christian and transformed into a witness of Jesus to her church. She also is taking care of sister Bakya through one to one Bible and Jesus’ love. Her sheep is faithfully growing under her care, participating in our Sunday worship service too.  We pray that God may continue to grow her as a prayer mother as like Ruth in the Bible and to be an ancestor of faith in Sri Langka UBF and to raise her family as a house church and a source of blessing for 18 Sri Lanka campuses and for the whole world in the future.

Again we praise and thank God for richly blessing Sri Lanka UBF joint thanks giving worship & a shepherd swearing in ceremony and for your continuing prayer support for Sri Lanka UBF!
