I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE

Belize UBF had Easter Conference on March 24-25 at Mountain View Camp. The title was, “I am the Resurrection and the Life” and 26 attended.

S. Lindy Grinage delivered his first message on “Jesus was crucified for our sins”. (John 19:16b-42) Jesus was crucified with 2 criminals. He was in the middle. He committed no crime, but was crucified like a criminal because of our sins. Lindy accepted Jesus’ death for his sin and wants to serve campus mission with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

S. Melanie Lammey delivered the main message, “I am the resurrection and the life”. (John 11:1-44) She had to go through 5 funerals in her extended family last year. But resurrection faith helped her to overcome fear of death. She may live as a resurrection witness for world mission.

S. Dillon Leal delivered the Sunday message, “You will be my witnesses”. (Acts 1:1-11) Since we heard, believed and accepted the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we should be his witnesses with the power of the Holy Spirit to the ends of the earth. May God use us for his world mission and for his Kingdom of heaven!

S Angelica served Daily Bread message on “The suffering servant”. (Isaiah 52:13-53:12) Emry Bood and Orlando Sedacey shared their life testimonies showing God’s presence in their lives as their shepherd. May God be with them and lead them continuously according to his hope and purpose!

Thank God for 4 group Bible study leaders and for the mothers who served delicious meals in love and prayer.

Thank God for sending his Son to suffer and die for our sins. Thank God for Jesus who is the resurrection and the life who gives us the living hope in the kingdom of God. Thank God for blessing our conference renewing our resurrection faith and world mission.  We pray that we may learn the meaning of Easter and have a happy and blessed Easter.
