Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch

Our Easter Bible Conference was titled: “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” It was held from 13th to 16th April at Primavera Club located in Miacatlán, Morelos. A very beautiful plan and a warm weather. Although we took 4 hours to get, looking around a natural scene we all felt great rest. In total, 203 people attended, including from Cuautitlán Izcalli 7, Querétaro 3, from Politécnico (IPN) 13, from Acatlán 28 and UAM Azcapotzalco 5. At the same time, the second-generation conference was developed, which was guided by Missionary Pablo and Lidia Park. Our youth received deep messages, joyful youthful praises, and their testimonies were filled with grace. They all felt very happy.

The opening message was delivered by Shepherd Luis Angel, where we learned about the direction of Jesus to sail offshore to make a great fishing. At night, we heard the message about a man born blind by Shepherdess Marisol from Cuautitlán, where we learned how important it is to receive spiritual sight, and then we heard 5 beautiful testimonies of life.

On Friday morning through the message of Shepherd Luis Armando, we learned of a paralytic and of the call of Levi as when they were called by Jesus they changed their lives. Through the main message, Shepherdess Karla from Acatlán preached to us about the Samaritan woman and how she was quenched with her thirst for love and her center of worship was Jesus, who gave her his living water, and then we heard two testimonies of life. Then came the message of John 8, where Jesus taught us how important it is to know the truth to be free; this message was served by Shepherd Enrique.

The third day in the morning, we heard the message about the resurrection of Lazarus and it was given powerfully by Shepherd Hugo, where we learned that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. The main message was John 21, which was preached by Shepherd Alejandro López. Here, we remembered the faithful and unchanging love of Jesus towards his failed disciples.

The word of God moved hearts of all attendees, and every participant wrote their own testimony, and 9 students shared their testimony of repentance with the whole congregation. Thus they brought all their charges on sin, pain and sorrow to the cross of Jesus and filled with the grace and joy of Jesus´s forgiveness. The message of the night was served by Shepherd Lucio on Isaiah 53, where we learned the sacrifice of Jesus´s true love for us to save us and give us the victory over the sin, death and Satan.

In the evening, we had our festival where the UBF orchestra delighted us with four beautiful pieces of music; after that we saw two dances called “El Calabaceado” (Acatlán), and a dance of praise, and finally we witnessed the theater called, “You will be a Fisher of men.” We were all very happy for the joy that Christ had given us. Thus, on Sunday morning, we heard the message about the Lord´s prayer given by Shepherd Carlos, where we learned how important it is to sanctity and honored the name of God.

And finally at Sunday worship service, through the word of Revelation 3, served by Shepherd Caleb, we learned that we must be like the church of Philadelphia. Thus, we decided to take a direction of serving with a new heart the work of God in our mission campus. The study of the word of God has renewed us spiritually. We give thanks because by his mercy he has strengthened us with his word in this beautiful conference.
