Acts 6:4, “We will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

We focused on prayer and the ministry of the word. We prayed for 30 1:1s and 20 SW attendants and for raising 6 Bible teachers. We also prayed for house churches to be raised. We had average 9 1:1s a week and 12 SW attendants. Dillon became a 1:1 Bible teacher and taught 3 students faithfully. Melanie, Shannelle, and  Shennell taught the Bible 1:1 on and off. Aaron went campus fishing and new students came to study the Bible. We pray continually for many Bible teachers to be raised for the Bible Belize. We pray the ministry of the word may increase continuously. We studied Matthew’s gospel with the theme, “Jesus is the king.” We began to pray for his kingdom to come.

In January, M. Moses attended LDC in Ecuador and was renewed in spirit with the words of encouragement. The title of the conference was “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus”(Hebrews 12:2). He also learned how to co-work with his wife by listening to her with martyrdom spirit. Also the next LDC place was decided to be Belize. M. Sarah wanted and prayed to have the conference in Belize.

For Easter we studied 1 Corinthians 15 and learned the gospel, power and glory of resurrection. Because of resurrection, we have power over the death and glorious hope in the kingdom of God.

    M. Moses and Sarah attended WMR 2016 in Seoul. The theme was “A Holy Nation.” Thank God using Korea as his holy nation. We had Missionary and Shepherd Conference and studied Deuteronomy. We prayed to keep on loving God with all our hearts and souls and strengths. We also learned that man does not live by bread alone but with word of God. We had a great fellowship and were encouraged.

For the dedication of Washington UBF extended center, we could send Dillon, Shannelle, Melanie and Shennell. They shared testimonies and studied the Bible and had Christian fellowship. They learned servant-ship and ownership of the ministry. They became the co-workers for the ministry.

On July 31-Aug 2, we had Summer Bible Conference with the theme, “You must be born again.” We wanted to understand the agony of sleepless Nicodemus and thirsty Samaritan woman. We wanted to have shepherd heart for Nicodemus or Samaritan woman like campus students. We wanted one shepherd to be the main messenger, but he left the country for better life. But God helped us and sent M. James Park from Washington UBF to deliver the main message. Also Shepherd Steve Nicewarner delivered a message on calling of Levi. Guatemala UBF sent Shepherd Abraham Salazar, Ruth Salazar, and Esther Ham to serve the conference. Also M. Eunice Safos from New York came and shared her life testimony. By God’s help we had a great conference with many new persons.

In November Darren went to Washington UBF for the harvest festival. He shared his testimony, “Follow me” and renewed his commitment to Jesus’ discipleship. We thank God for Washington co-workers’ exemplary servant-ship and Christian fellowship.

On December 5th, Aaron was attacked by robbers and beaten badly. They took his cell phone. He was taken by a taxi driver to the hospital. His front teeth were broken, and found out his maxilla bone was broken. He needed a surgery. Satan was jealous and tried to discourage us. We were helpless, but Chicago, Washington and Cornerstone UBF decided to help us to pay the expenses. We realized, we have to face many hardships in our pilgrim’s journey. We were wondering why these things happening to the believers. Yet we should believe in God’s goodness and live by faith continually. God helps us to overcome troubles and trials. We pray for peace in Belize.

Personally, I thank God for the privilege to serve his campus mission in Belize. I have many shortcomings and weaknesses that discourage me often. But God is gracious and uses my 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed Belize campus students. What I am doing is small, but God can use it for this great work. Thank God for gospel work through the whole world. I should appreciate the gospel work and participate in the work of God with faith and obedience and with my 5 loaves and 2 fish. God also helped me to pray and co-work with M. Sarah and make a vessel of the Holy Spirit to bear God’s blessings.

We had Christmas worship on Christmas with the message title, “Jesus Born King of the Jews.” 16 attended. Thank God for sending his Son to be our shepherd king. We pray for Jesus’ kingdom to come to Belize and make Belize a shepherd nation.

We have been studying Matthew gospel that taught us Jesus is the King. We should pray for his rule and his kingdom to come to us and to Belize. Our key verse for 2017 is Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come.” This is the Lord’s Prayer and we should pray for his kingdom to come. Our church should be a manifestation of his kingdom. May we obey Jesus our King and live as God’s people! May his kingdom come!
