"He will shepherd my people Israel"
(MT2:6)
We praise and thank God for baby Jesus, who has been faithfully taking care of us all in 2016 as our shepherd king, in spite of a dark atmosphere because of the political turmoil in Korea. We also deeply thank God for comforting us all with hope, heavenly peace, and Joy through the graceful words of God in the 2016 Christmas worship services. Our CWS’s were held three times; in the evening of Dec 24th, 25th and in the afternoon of 25th.
On the 24th, the first Christmas message " He Will Shepherd My People Israel" from Matt 2 was given by Sh. O-Kyu Noh. Before meeting Christ he was lonely and fatherless, feeling meaninglessness in his life since his parents passed away when he was very young. Through the message, with many tears, he testified about the grace of Jesus who became his good shepherd and everlasting Father; who made him a professor and joyful shepherd at a medical school. After the message, there was a graceful drama entitled "Jesus who came to meet us all at a convenience store"played by students.
The next day morning on Dec 25th the message began right after the powerful and joyful chorus that sang Christmas carols. The message " A Savior Has Been Born To You" on Luke2 was boldly delivered by Sh. Hyunyou Kim ( A researcher at HD mobile).
He proclaimed that Jesus Christ is the true king and savior, even though the worldly kings apparently seem to rule the world. God so loved the world that he sent his one and only son as a humble baby in a manger to serve and save all kinds of sinners from the power of sin and death in his great love. This is good news and great joy to all mankind. He stressed that this is why we all should prepare our hearts to newly accept baby Jesus as our shepherd King.
On the evening of the 25th, God blessed Anam1 & Anam2 CBF ( age2-12) joint Christmas worship service with joy and grace. All Anam1 & Anam2 coworkers joined the worship together. All 6 CBF teams sincerely worshiped the new born baby Jesus through the Chorus, Orchestra, Bible reciting, dance, vocal ensemble, dance routine and drama. We believe that God was so pleased with the CBF children through the performance. We praise and thank God for Jesus who was born as a baby in a manger as our shepherd and King.
