On October10-12, 73 people attended the Korea UBF fall staff conference at Yongpyong resort in Gangwon-do province in Korea. There were two lectures based on 1 Peter and 2 Peter. Among them the first lecture, "Being Examples to the Flock" on 1 Peter 5 gave us a clear direction about how to be a good shepherd to God's flock. It was good for each of us to examine ourselves as shepherds to God's flock in light of His word. We made new decisions to willingly serve and be good examples to God's flock.

On the first evening there was a special lecture entitled "In the view by the covenant on the Pentateuch" given by Prof. Hee Seok Kim (Chongshin Theological Seminary, Graduate School).  He testified that the God who made a covenant with Abraham is the same God who gave the covenant at the mount of Sinai and Moab.

God himself bore Abraham's weakness and raised him as our father of faith. By His grace, God also bore the people of Israel's weakness and sin and raised them as a priestly nation for the world. Therefore, we have confidence to live by faith as God's covenant people as our fathers of faith did before us.

Then we had a mission report by M. Hannah Oh (Hamburg, Germany). Through the report, she boldly testified about how she experienced a good God who changed her life from a fatalistic person to a victorious missionary life in Germany.

The second day was a time for everyone to go out and enjoy God's beautiful creation world in the Autumn Mountain, meditating on God's word, and refreshing our faith to serve the fall semester.

At the end, Sh. David Kim (Korea UBF director) stressed the benefits of deep Bible memorization.  He recently visited O nation conference and witnessed a missionary's victorious life of faith and good influence to other missionaries because of having deep Bible memorization.

He also encouraged all attendees to be examples to God's flock in accordance with our good shepherd Jesus in this fall semester.
