Paraguay is a landlocked country in central South America; it is bordered by Argentina to the south, Brazil to the northeast, and Bolivia to the northwest. Due to its central location in South America it is sometimes referred as “Heart of South America.” Itaipú Dam has the world’s second largest power-generating capacity of which the ownership is shared with Brazil. 90% of generated energy is mostly exported to Brazil. GDP per capita is $4,100 (2015), and the main source of income is agriculture. Its demographics are such that Catholics are 88%, and Protestants are 8% of its population. The average temperature for the year is 24.5 degrees Celsius.

M. Andres Heo as a director and his wife Anna Heo serve this ministry. M. Juan & Rocio Hwang also serve here together; we visited M. Juan Hwang’s house and studied the Bible together. M. Andres Heo gets up at 3:30 a.m., and goes to work to the grocery store then comes back home at 1:30 p.m. CME Bible study was performed graciously at 3:30 p.m. to accommodate him along with two other missionaries (Anna Heo, and Juan Hwang) together.

I did the one-to-one Bible study with brother Guilleremo on Saturday afternoon; this sheep is a senior of the College of Engineering who had been studying the Bible for about 10 months during that time. However, he has not come to the Center for last one year. He has begun to study the Bible again by accepting this invitation. On Sunday, not only Guillermo, but also his mother Jessica and his two sisters came to the Center to worship the God together.

We shared testimonies full of repentance on Saturday. M. Andres Heo has spared no efforts for his self-support in the meantime. He repents of much based on Gal 5:16-24 for himself. He wants for him to be a good influence on others, by not getting angry and often losing his temper, and in particular to be guided to his co-worker by the Holy Spirit, by overcoming his flesh. Henceforce, he is going to walk by the Spirit. In particular, ‘he was going to be patient with, not to be easily angered at, and not to dishonor his co-worker’(1 Co 13:4-5). M. Anna Heo bears 4 children and is good at co-working M. Andres Heo.

Prayer Topics:

1) For powerful Sunday worship message.

2) For brother Guillermo to grow to be an ancestor of faith.

3) To be co-worked with M. Juan Hwang.

4) For self-support.
