The distance between the North and the South in Chile is the longest in the world(4,395km). Chile also has the most output in copper; her copper exports are 60% of the worlds exports. Chile was independent from Spain in 1818, and has the present territory by defeating the allied forces of Peru and Bolivia in 1883. It is said that after 1973, the military and economic developmentental was maintained by a dictator named Pinochet for 17 years. Chile is an only member nation of the OECD in the South America, it is 66.6% of Catholics and about 17 % Protestant.

M. Joshua Chun and Hannah Chun serve God’s work in Chile. M. Joshua came to pioneer Chile from Mexico 9 years ago; they tried start a business until 2011, but failed in such attempts. M. Joshua even had heart disease, and they were nearly in a helpless condition. However after he was cured he came back to Chile, with a heart and mind to offer his second life to the Lord Jesus. They live a good self-supporting life, through a business providing articles, such as soaps and shampoos for hotels.

We had gracious Bible studies for CME for the week of Sep. 5th; Studying Ephesians for the first & second lecture, Galatians (5:16-24) as a special lecture, and lecturing on how the message may be to prepare and deliver, and delivering a message for Sunday worship service. We shared gracious testimonies with one another on the Saturday morning.

M. Joshua Chun says of one sister-sheep, whom they raised very sincerely, suffered from the heart disease when she fell in love with a new brother-sheep and began living with him as if married. They tried to helped them in various respects, but the sister and the brother resisted them and left the center. This had a bad impact on another sheep who ceased to study the Bible in UBF.

After this accident, he despaired and wanted to turn to an ordinary person’s work. He speaks now of his new experience of moving to a house and of newly planted grass seed because the lawn was dead. A week later a green lawn grew like a miracle. He and his wife had watered it devotedly, and then it grew verdantly. Finally, he confesses that the Lord helped him to have conviction, in hopes of making the Lord Jesus’ disciples from students, free from despairing of such disciple-making, through a Psalm: “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” (Ps 126:5). Recently he is attending campus.

Prayer Topics:

1) M. Joshua Chun’s powerful message.

2) Raising up one ancestor of faith.

3) Blessing continually the business for self-support.
