“While I am in the word I am the light of the world"(John 9:5)

On July15-18 Anam1 UBF had its SBC with the theme “I Am The Light of the World" at Gwanglim seminar house in Korea. God blessed the SBC with graceful messages with 219 attendees including second gens in cheerful surroundings. It was not easy for our coworkers to serve the SBC since they had been wholeheartedly serving the 2016 WMR in Seoul and the overseas guests (100 missionaries & native shepherds) who came to visit Anam UBF. 

However, God filled our coworkers’ hearts with overcoming spirit and power to prepare for three weeks having Bible studies and lectures on John15, Isaiah 55, and Luke15. We thank God for this extraordinary SBC filled with full gospel messages and grace.

Main lecture1 for laymen: Romans 14 “Accept One Another" by Byoungjoon Kim. 

Evening lecture 2: Luke 7 "Her Many Sins Have Been Forgiven" by Kyoungchung Lee. 

Main lecture 2 for students: Luke 27 “Father Forgive Them" by Daeil Ahn.  

Main lecture 2 for laymen: Deut 7 “Man Does Not Live On Bread Alone" by Jaehun Lee. 

Evening lecture 3: 2Tim 3 “Preach The Gospel" by Mansur Han. 

Main Lecture 3: Mt 20 “Jesus who came to serve" by Moses Kim Jr. 

All the messengers poured out their hearts during message preparation and then delivered them with the hearts of those seeking lost souls. 

Though the world is in darkness, they boldly proclaimed about salvation in Jesus Christ through the light of the Cross, the light of love, and the light of the Word. After the messages, we all deeply meditated on God’s Word, writing testimonies, and sharing them together.  

In the evening meetings, there were 10 life testimony speakers (including 4-second gens from Chicago) and 3 testimony speakers who shared about God's grace upon them.  Among our students, two of them delivered main messages; others served drama, 5-minute message before the main message, led sing-along, praise at the meetings, and learned a hosting spirit during the conference. In the evening of the second day, as we did last year, Anam orchestra team performed beautiful and powerful music. Everyone was so happy before God it was if we were at a feast of heaven. There also were joyful programs for CBF second gens.

Afterward our student team had two days and one night together white -water rafting at Dongkang in Kangwon province and enjoyed beautiful fellowship together.  

Once again, we deeply give thanks to Jesus who is the light of the world and is the light of each one of us.
