"God Does Not Give Up Anyone"

On July 21-24, 2016 Gwangju 1,6 and Chunju 1 held its SBC with the theme “God Does Not Give Up Anyone”.

The number of attendees from Gwangju 1,6 was 198 (including 68 sheep) and 16 from Chunju UBF.

We prepared for the conference with special daily morning prayer meetings for 100 days. We prayed that all the attendees would accept Jesus personally during the conference.

Through the conference, God raised up many growing young shepherds as messengers. In this, some leaders had worried about their ability to deliver the messages because they are young with no experience delivering messages. However, the young shepherds had an absolute attitude toward the Word of God. Each day they humbly knelt down before God asking Him for help because they knew that they were weak and young spiritually.

God heard their earnest prayers and blessed them one by one to deliver the messages powerfully. Among them Sh. Hyung Woo Kim, through his message he wholeheartedly testified about the love of God for sinners- like us as a prodigal son (Luke 15).

Once he had left God to pursue a pleasure seeking life. After many years of wandering, he realized that he was weary and burdened by his sin and returned to God this year.  His honest and sincere message touched all the attendees’ hearts.

Sh. Elijah Han gave a clear and powerful message from Mark 8, “You Are The Christ”. Through the message, he has shown his love and passion for Christ and God’s words. He is exemplary among us in studying the word of God. He even copied the daily bread text everyday for last 20 months and memorized Psalms Chapters 1 through 30.

After the messages many young students, including 10-second gens shared their sincere testimonies. Through their transformed life story and decisions, we could see the vision for the next generation discipleship ministry. Many second gens served the SBC through music, drama, and dancing programs. We really thank God for sending many new and fresh sheep to us through the SBC.

After the conference, our leaders had deep Bible study on Romans 8. We memorized it so that we will overcome the sinful culture in this dark generation. In addition, all our students are studying Romans and Genesis to plant gospel faith in their hearts.
