Jakarta UBF 2016 Easter Conference Report:

“I Am Willing, He said. Be clean!”

Scripture: Mark 1: 40 - 45

Key verse Mark 1:41: “Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’”

By Msn Peter Kim (Jakarta UBF)

We successfully held an Easter conference at Bogor, which is situated at our SEAM Center (South East Asia Mission). This Center is commonly used by UBF Jakarta as a place for fellowship. Located near Bogor's Agricultural University (Institute Pertanian Bogor, IPB) the environment is surrounded with clear stream waters and fresh cool air. We thank our Heavenly Father for providing this place as our conference site.

A total of 17 attendees were present for the conference. Sh. IM from East Malaysia came after a lengthy trip as she had to stay overnight at KLIA to catch a flight transfer to Jakarta, Indonesia. The opening message was delivered by Shep. Juni with the title: The Fallfrom Genesis 3: 1 - 19. The first main message on Saturday was by Sh. Susanti entitled ‘“I Am Willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’” from Mark 1: 40 - 45. The other main message was delivered by Sh. Rubiati entitled “Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe” from Mark 5: 21 - 43.

We were so blessed by the monodrama performed by Sister Ike & Sister Ayu, who are freshmen from Borneo. We continue to pray for them to enter suitable courses of study at the University. Our prayer is that they may be raised as one Mary at their respective campus where God has chosen for them to go.

We give thanks to God for a new face among our midst from UNAS campus - Sister Efata. She is currently in her 3rd semester studying Management in Economy. Through Group Bible study, God opened her heart for one to one Bible study. We pray she will faithfully come for Bible study.

We went to IPB campus early in the morning and prayed that God may raise one Abraham & one Mary on this campus.

We give thanks as this conference was solely organized and planned by our local Shepherds’ Hengky and Carolus. May God use this as a stepping-stone for them to be independent leaders at UBF's Jakarta, Indonesian campus ministry. Our hope is that Sh. Hengky & Sh. Carolus will continue to serve independently and creatively.

Testimonies were shared by Sh. Sri, Sister Marito, Brother Yapser, and Sh. IM.

After being sent to East Malaysia, Sh. IM has remained faithful and is visiting the campus there to plant seeds of prayers. She confessed that at times she is lonely and pre-occupied with her career as a medical practitioner at Sarawak General Hospital. However, through her testimony we were overjoyed, as the Lord has always been with her. We pray she may remain faithful and continue to visit the campus, to be led by God to one sheep and to pray unceasingly despite her busy schedule at the hospital. May she always give her heart to God, and her spiritual sensors reignited towards God through Daily Bread and to have a personal Worship Service.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty as He has strengthened 10 of our Shepherds throughout the preparation for this Easter conference. Through the message on “Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe” from Mark 5: 21 – 43, we experienced the spiritual resurrection of Christ.

We pray that God will continue to lead us to serve the eight campuses in Indonesia. Specifically: Sh. Hengky to pioneer and serve at UNPAD campus in Bandung, Sumedang, Sh. Carolus to continue raising many history-makers in each campus and for his wife, Sh. Eta who is currently studying for her Master's degree in Korea in order to sharpen her leadership skills at Kwangju II UBF. May God continue to bless our Shepherds to be a blessing to all campuses in Indonesia and to all the 10 countries in South East Asia.
