Indonesian Easter Conference Between Karawaci and Cikarang UBF

I recently arrived back from the Easter Conference. God blessed the conference abundantly. We were full of grace and Spirit. The place where we had the conference was Kinasih Resort in Sukabumi, Bogor, Indonesia. The conference site was teeming with beautiful trees and flowers and the food was so delicious. I really enjoyed Soto Ayam an Indonesian version of chicken soup. 

On March 25, the first day of the conference, we had much free time. Shepherd Darius and Shepherdess Rina came first followed by M. Joshua's family and then our family arrived at the venue. The first comers put the banner on the wall in the meeting room and set up the flowery lectern. Later that evening, Sister Tina joined the conference which made us all happy. We enjoyed eating fellowship and chatting together until the evening program.
At the evening program, M. Marie delivered the opening message titled, "Young Man, I say to you, Get up." Although, she had a bladder problem, she delivered the message by faith. After that, we watched an Easter movie about Jesus' Suffering, Death, and Resurrection. We then had 1 Corinthian Chapter 15 memorization reciting time and M. Joshua's youngest daughter, Yewon Kim won the first place. We then played a quiz game led by Willie Kim who prepared questions based on the Easter movie and 1 Corinthian Chapter 15. There were two teams, male and female and the ladies won the game. 

On the second day in the morning, we had a Group Bible Study on Isaiah 52:13-53:12.             M. Joshua Kim led the study in Indonesian and sometimes in English. After which, M. Joshua delivered the message titled “Jesus Was Pierced For…” that he prepared in Indonesian. His message was delivered softly but the content was so powerful. Willie Kim served as the presider.
Based on the message, we all sat down to write a testimony.  Amazingly, all of us including Yewon Kim wrote a testimony which we shared that evening. Shepherd Darius and Shepherdess Rina shared their Life Testimony. After that, we had a Shepherd Ceremony were Sister Rina became a shepherdess and Brother Darius became a shepherd. M. Marie and Grace Kim prayed for Shepherd Rina and M. Joshua and I prayed for Shepherd Darius. They received an NIV Bible as a gift along with a shepherd certificate. It was a very encouraging time for all of us. Shepherdess Rina, Shepherd Darius, Sister Tina, M. Marie and I celebrated by singing gospel songs and playing guitars together till late that evening. 

On the third day in the morning, M. William Kim led the Group Bible Study in English based on John 11: 1-44. He delivered the message titled, “Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life”. Shepherd Darius served as the presider and Shepherd Rina and Sister Tina played guitars when we sang songs. At the conclusion of the conference, we all took a group picture and had a delicious lunch together. 

I thank God for helping us to raise two shepherds during this conference. I pray that they could be good Bible teachers and servants of God. I thank God for blessing the joint Conference between Karawaci and Cikarang UBF. I thank God for all the precious words of God that we shared during the 2016 Easter Conference. Amen.
