Dear Precious Servant of God,

Praise God who established Joseph and Arielle’s family for his glory on February 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Craftwood Inn in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Mr. Mike Becker gave them John 17:20-23 and officiated their marriage. Pastor Isam Itson prayed and blessed their wedding. 81 people came to the wedding including Pastor Augustine & Mary Park from Denver and Missionary Stephen Kim from Colorado Springs.

As for my wife Naomi and me, it has been a challenge for us to follow and catch up with God’s leading upon Joseph’s life. After getting two sons Paul and John, we prayed for a daughter.  When my wife Naomi became pregnant, we even named the baby in her womb Grace but we got a son and named him Joseph. We did not want him to be a soldier, but God opened the way for him to go to West Point and become a military officer.  Now he is a captain. We prayed for a specific kind of woman for Joseph’s wife, but God allowed Joe to have another specific kind of woman Arielle to be his wife.

God, sometimes, does not answer our prayers exactly in the way we pray. We confess, however, that God’s way of working is much higher than ours just as the heaven is much higher than the earth.  We praise God for that, because his way is much higher, in fact, his way is perfect. Praise and thank God who changed my heart and enabled me to surrender my will to the will of God.

Jacob, Joseph’s father in the Bible, was not able to be with his son Joseph, but God was with Joseph when he went through sufferings and hardships in Egypt. God trained him until he became a man of faith in the Sovereign God, a man of true love, and a man of hope in the kingdom of God.  I was not able to be with my son Joseph, in fact, I opposed him many times, but God was with him and made him a man of faith as he is today.  Arielle went through a lot of hardships and difficulties as well, but God was with her and made her a new creation in Jesus.  By God’s providence, God helped them to establish their family for a purpose.  God is the sovereign Lord and Savior of their family. I believe that God has his glorious plan and purpose for their family. May the Lord God be with them and fulfill his glorious plan and purpose for his glory.  Our God is a merciful, gracious, and good God.  May the Lord God be with them and show them his mercy, grace, and goodness all the days of their life together as they are united with Christ and with each other.  May the Lord God make them a blessing to many as they love God and love each other in the Lord. May the Holy Spirit empower them to live as disciples of Jesus. May God’s name be glorified through their family.

Thank you so much for your prayer for our family.  God bless you.
