On November 7-8, UBF chapters Jongro 1, 2, 7, Gwanak 3, and Wharang held a joint Fall conference with the theme of "True Love, True Neighborhood,” at Youngsan Training Center, located in Pajoo, Korea.

Lecture 1, which was entitled, "True Love, True Neighborhood," was based on Luke 17, and was delivered by Sh. Joshua Kim. Through Lecture 1, we learned that the secret of true happiness comes when we put Christ’s love into practice in our lives, like the Samaritan man who helped the victim who was beaten by robbers. Next, Lecture 2. which was entitled, “Faith that Looks ahead to his Reward," was based on Hebrews 11, and was delivered by Sh. Spurgeon Lee. Through Lecture 2, we learned about Moses' perseverance in suffering, and his faith that looks ahead to his reward, and we all renewed our faith to participate in Christ’s suffering.

There a special lecture entitled, “Our Neighbor: North Korean People's Miserable Lives,” which was given by  Soonsil Lee, a broadcaster who defected from North Korea and was a former nursing department officer in a unit of the North Korean army. We vividly heard about North Korean people's misery under the Kim Jung Un’s regime and we all earnestly prayed to the Lord for North Korean people.

We thank God for enabling us to have a wonderful, loving fellowship with each other and to learn about true love and true neighborhood through the conference with an autumn flavor.
