Canada UBF Labor Day Discipleship Workshop

“FOLLOW ME”

John 21:19b “Then Jesus said, `Follow me.’”

On August 29,150 leaders in our UBF ministry from Ontario, Ottawa and Montreal gathered for a workshop on discipleship at the University of Toronto. Younger and senior leaders gathered together to hear and participate in presentations, prayer and discussion in six different key areas of discipleship.  We came to get envisioned as disciples of Jesus and to prepare for the fall ministry together. Only people who themselves practice Jesus’ principles of discipleship can disciple others. With that in mind we first come to Jesus in faith, and then lead people to faith in the process of Christian growth and obedience.  We thank God for the UBF Education committee for developing the materials for the conference and especially for  Pastor Ron Word and M. David Won who came from Chicago UBF as special presenters as well as everyone who helped and participated in the conference. 

Here is a summary of the conference program:

9:00-10:00am  

Introduction to discipleship workshop and message:

“How to Be With Jesus in his Word.”
