I finished my 3 weeks training course, called Paracaidismo (Airborne Parachuting course), this last Sunday with my parents and church members, who came and watched my last jump from the airplane.

I had trouble facing my fear of vertigo (spinning, dizziness) and the pressure of the officers, but I learned to pray fervently and depend on God to face these fears. For my first jump, I did well, jumping from the airplane but I had fear of falling... and in my panic I didn’t manage my parachute well and fell over a tree. In every jump, I would scream to myself, ‘If God’s with me, who can be against me?’ to overcome and comfort myself.

I thank God because He showed me through this course that I must face my fears, holding onto his hand and his word. Also, in every course, at least someone gets hurt but this time, no one in my prom got hurt. Now I’m about to start my last semester of school, 8th semester! Yea! Now I have the presentation of my thesis left and one last military course, called Leader or Commandos, and then my graduation on December 18.
