On June 9-13 we went to visit Utsunomiya UBF and Sendai UBF in Japan.

When we traveled to Utsunomiya from Tokyo we took the high-speed train. It was so fast and convenient taking just 40 minutes to reach the destination.

The city of Utsunomiya is a small city consisting of a population of about 200,000.

After the visit with M. Daniel & Rebekah Choi who are serving Utsunomiya UBF, we all went up to the Univ. of Utsunomiya campus and prayed together earnestly for the campus pioneering.

We begun GBS at 2:00pm and then we all wrote testimonies. The next morning we shared graceful testimonies.

Once M. Daniel Choi was lazy toward the gospel and mission but through the CME he renewed his faith and made a clear decision to carry the mission before God.

In the afternoon of June 10 we moved to the city of Sendai, taking about 25 minutes from Utsunomya.

Sendai is one of the near cities from the nuclear power plant in Kagoshma, which had a dangerous problem because of the tsunami in Japan in 2011.

Relatively, the city now became stable but I heard that nobody can live in the surrounding area of the nuclear power plant.

There is one family, Dr. Paul and M. Pauline Cho, who are serving Sendai ministry. Dr. Paul Cho has been working at Univ. of Northeast as an intern researcher and M. Pauline also is working part time to help support four children. We had four nights and five days of CME with them at Sendai UBF center.  I led GBS based on Ephesians lectures 1, 2& 3.  Dr. Paul Chung gave them a lecture about the early church history. We all shared graceful testimonies on Saturday June13.

Especially, M. Pauline also obtained a PhD degree (Philology) in the midst of raising her four children and actively feeding one to one sheep at the research office till she gave birth to her fourth child.

Recently, she has been looking for a job related to her major but it was not easy to get one and she also is praying earnestly for her sheep, a leadership candidate, who is struggling with her personal problems.

Sendai UBF Prayer Topics:

1) For Dr. Paul Cho’s Sunday message

2) For Dr. Paul Cho to be hired as a researcher after thoroughly preparing his research paper

3) For raising their four children to grow as shepherds
