South Sudan UBF Easter Conference

South Sudan UBF Easter Conference was held on May 2, 2015 with 35 attendants. The title of the conference was “The Gospel and The Power of Resurrection”.

The conference commenced with an opening message from Luke 10: 38 – 44 by Sh. Dr. Oyor Moses. There were two main lectures from the Book of 1Cornithians Chapter 15. Sh. Philip Angelo delivered main lecture I: “The Gospel and the Power of the Resurrection”, and Sh. Paulis  Apar delivered main lecture II: “The Glory of the Resurrection”. 

South Sudan is going through difficult and terrible times because of civil war and economic problems. Many people are being killed. Many more are being internally displaced and going out as refugees to neighboring countries. Prices of commodities are going up dramatically. These cause despair, depression, and hopelessness to South Sudanese citizens.

We thank God that through this conference God comforted us with the Gospel, the power and glory of the resurrection. Though we are in the midst of civil war and economic crisis yet we have hope and the sense of victory. We were filled with joy and the hope of the kingdom of God in the conference. God who raised Jesus from the dead is living and Almighty God can raise South Sudan from the turmoil of civil war and economic crisis.
