On Feb7, 2015 Korea UBF held its daily bread chapter – coordinators annual conference. Roughly 100 coordinators from each local chapter gathered together for the New Year’s conference. At 11 a.m. we held a graceful GBS based on Deuteronomy 4:1-14 divided in seven groups led by seven staff shepherds.

After taking lunch fellowship Sh. Moses Noh (Sejong UBF) gave a main message. God spoke his covenant and the Ten Commandments to the Israelites out of the fire and then wrote them on the two stone tablets. It shows clearly that God’s commands given to people of God must be kept as its meaning, without adding or subtracting. Therefore we must come near to the written word of God in considering it as God’s holy word. Then the best way for us to come near to God is a writing daily bread notes and reading the Bible passages in order to impress the word on our hearts and the teach others.

After the lecture Sh. Pauline Lim (Gwanak5), Youngsoon Lim (Yonhee), Dami Kim (Jongro1) Noah Shin (Hanyang) shared their reflections of God’s grace which they received through the daily bread every morning 365days during the last year.

Sh Pauline Lim was in difficult situation because she was diagnosed as TB while she was studying in her PHD program and was treated in isolated place. She could do nothing but pray. But through writing daily bread notes she could renew her faith and be strengthened by the grace from the word. She finished her Phd theory and fed one to one sheep as well.

Sh. Yongsoon Lim had to serve her picky supervisor in her work and taking care of her children in her family as well even though she was been suffering from a chronically disease. But when she was faithful to the writing daily bread notes for about 4 years God richly blessed her in many ways. She experienced the word “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life” Ps119:50

Sh. Dami Kim has been faithful to the writing daily bread notes influenced by her husband who who bear fruits in Spirit. By this she could overcome difficulties in and out, and could serve one to one sheep and her children as well. She also could serve a lecture at last summer’s Bible conference.

Sh. Noah Shin who is a high school teacher has been faithful to writing daily bread notes without missing for about 5 years. By this he became a good influence both to high school teenagers in his work and to UBF coworkers. Some of the high school teenagers came to know Christ growing as disciples through his Bible study. He is serving Univ of Sungsin campus ministry having a vision to go out to X nation in God’s time. Through the lecture and sharing the reflections we all were greatly moved with grace and renewed our desire for the word of God and for writing daily bread notes.

These were followed by a special message entitled “The gospel Which Was Revealed in Leviticus” comprehensibly with humor, given by Sh. Elijah Kim (Inchun UBF). Through the message we could realized about the complicated regulations in the Leviticus that were God’s mercy and his good care for his people.

After the lecture Sh. Jaeeon Lee who is a full time manager of Korea UBF daily bread described practical guidelines about the management of the daily bread.

There also was an awards ceremony led by Sh. David Kim and encouraging word for those who received daily bread for 365 days in 2014. All 68 were rewarded from 21 UBF chapters: Gachun, Gangreong, Gwanak3, Gwanak5, Gwangju1,6, Gwangju3, Dongkyuo, Baebong, Sungdong, Sejong, Yongun, Yonhee, Wonju, Jaeju, Jongro1, Jongro7, Jinju, Choonchun, Hangang, Hansung, Hanyang. All those who received daily bread for 365 days without missing. We thanked God for doubling last year’s number.

We pray that our brothers and sisters may come near to love the written word of God through receiving daily bread and bear much fruits in and out in 2015.
