Mid-Atlantic Staff Conference was held in Philadelphia January 15-17. A total of 27 staff members and elders participated from nine chapters in the region: Washington DC, Baltimore, George Mason, Cornerstone, UVA, Lehigh, Shippensburg, Philadelphia, and Raleigh.

The program was not very tight; there were only 1 GBS, 1 main message, chapter report sharing, 1 special message, and 2 breakout sessions.  We studied 2 Corinthians 4:1-18 with the title, “THE GOSPEL: GOD’S GLORY IN THE FACE OF CHRIST.”

Through GBS and message, we realized that we gospel workers need to see the gospel light every day, the light of knowing God’s glory in Christ Jesus.  Our primary mission field is our soul.  When we have the gospel light in our soul we will be able to reflect it to the world as we serve the glorious ministry of the New Covenant.  Chapter report sharing time was great.  Everyone shared what God has done in 2014 and what their visions are for 2015.

George Mason ministry report was particularly heart moving.  Breakout sessions were very helpful.  We discussed about how to improve our Bible study/teaching and how to prepare/deliver message.  Many interesting perspectives were raised and participants shared their experience and wisdom with one another.

A special message was given by M. Ezra Cho (Washington DC) with a title, “Correctly Handle the Words of Truth.”  He explained the meaning of the passage using the original Greek and it was very clear.

On Saturday, we took a short tour of the historic district of Philadelphia.  We had a tour guide for Independence Hall and Christ Church.  To many of the staff it was the first time to see the birthplace of America.  After that, we had lunch at Philadelphia UBF Bible house near Drexel University.  Some of the staff members also had a campus tour after lunch.  We had such a wonderful time together in Philadelphia, a city of brotherly love

Praise God who granted us his life-giving word, meaningful discussion, and wonderful fellowship.  Next year’s regional conference will be held in Shippensburg, PA on January 14-16, 2016.
