Dear Servants of God,

Greetings in the Lord! God has blessed our visit of Uganda and Rwanda greatly!

As you have already heard, God blessed Eastern Regional African Conference abundantly with powerful words of God through P. Abraham Kim and 3 main messengers! Personally it was a greatly inspiring Bible conference! God sent 7 precious students from Rwanda after 24 hours of bus ride! We all held one word, "Feed my sheep" based on John 21:17.

Jesus, my good Shepherd

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

I.  The Conference.

On March 25, 2017 at the Chicago UBF Sunday worship service, Pastor Ron Ward awarded our 13 CBF teachers with certificates of achievement for completing eight months of education in teaching and communication skills. It was a significant landmark in raising teachers who can serve second generations’ spiritual education and to equip our one-to-one Bible teachers in the ministry of teaching regardless of class size or student numbers. This education for teachers is the one of our Teachers & Parents Education (T&PE) for our growing second generation ministry.

Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”

Toledo UBF 2016 Review and 2017 Key Verse, Prayer Topics and Goals

Rom 12:11-12 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

  • 2016 Annual Review

In 2016 we studied the book of Mark for Fall and also started John for Spring semester.  Over the summer we also started a DVD series called the Alpha series. It was focused on reaching non-Christians or very young Christians.  It was a very good tool to get many non-Christians or even some of our members who only go to Sunday service to attend Bible study. We are continuing our study of John’s gospel for the upcoming semester.

1 Corinthians 15: 57-58 "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

M. Samuel Lim had a successful operation.

Three arteries of M. Samuel Lim's hearts have been seriously blocked.

The operation is a kind of replacement surgery called 'coronary artery bypass grafting'.

M. Samuel Lim was transferred to different Hospital and had a successful operation on April 20.

This time is very hard for him, little Esther, Daniella and M. Esther Lim.

Please pray for M. Samuel Lim and his family to be strong in Jesus' grace and love.
