Costarica UBF had the first new year disciples’conference on 15th-16th of Jan with the title of  “The righteous live by faith.”

The key verse that I have chosen for my trip is Philippians 3:10. This is also my key verse for the year 2011 “I want to know Christ to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death”

Missionary John Lee was discharged from the hospital. At present, his hematological levels have decreased from 1600 to 1500 and his red cell count has increased from 8.4 to 10. His doctor said that his medication is working well. He is also taking red blood cell booster shots along with his medication. He is going to have a blood test in three weeks. A concern is that his medication might lead him to become diabetic.

John15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

Brazil UBF coworkers had a conference for 2nd gens from the 26th-28th of December in Campinas UBF where M. Paulo Kim pioneering. 21 2nd gens and 16 missionaries attended and studied Psalm 1. M. Noah Chung, M. Andrew Kim and Timothy Han delivered wonderful messages.

We thank God who allowed Berkeley, Davis and Sacramento UBF coworkers to have united SWS in Sacramento for the last 17 months. Through our united SWS, coworkers could pray together, worship together, and restore our vision for campus and world mission.

By God's grace, Berkeley coworkers could find a new Bible center in December and held our first independent SWS today.

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." (2Timothy 2:15)

"'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.'" (John 10:11)

The fruit of love, joy and peace

(Vancouver UBF)

I started 2010 with much hope holding Isaiah 43:18,19 as the key verse. But I often became helpless because of sheep’s response towards God’s word. Still, I give thanks to God who showed his mercy on Vancouver UBF ministry in 2010. God used us to pray for students in Vancouver and to teach the Bible to them. He provided us the things we needed.

“‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Lk 10:41-42)
