"I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Ph 4:13)
I traveled to Asyut, a city in Egypt that is a 6-hour car ride (on unpaved road) 500 km from Cairo. Shepherd Mamdouh and I met and studied the Bible with students from Assiut University. We studies three lessons from the gospel of John. It was a wonderful meeting that lasted two days (19-20 June). Thank God for our ministry in Egypt.
"23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman', for she was taken out of man." 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." (Gen 2:23-24) "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ephe 5:22) "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." (Ephe 5:25)
On June 6, Korea UBF held its national world mission directors’ and treasurers’ meeting with the theme "To finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me " at Jongro UBF center in Seoul Korea.
Its purpose of the meeting was for the world mission directors and treasurers to renew their clear identity as servants who were given mission from God.
For details on all the ministries in Chicago UBF, see our annual report booklet, pp. 29-56. This report will omit Chicago, not because it isn't valuable but due to time constraints, so that we can all try to learn what God has been doing in all the other chapters. The following is based on annual reports submitted by local chapter directors. If a chapter isn't mentioned tonight, it's only because no report was submitted. Though there are so many ways God has been working, this report tries to focus especially on the development of student work and the raising of leaders.
“’Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” (Ex. 19:5-6)
