World Mission News: North America

Psalm 103:2 “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefit.”

We are delighted to present 3 second gen graduation in Boston UBF. Grace Oh graduated from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Public Health on May 25, 2017, Isaac Jung graduated from Brookline High School on June 4, and Sharon Lincoln graduated from Arlington High School on June 3. Isaac Jung and Sharon Lincoln graduated with meritorious scholarships. Isaac Jung will attend Purdue University, and Sharon Lincoln decided to attend UMASS in Amherst.

This was P. Abraham Lincoln’s message to our 5 grads at Harvard on May 24 & 25, 2017

    Congratulations!

The other day I saw a billboard that read: “Success is not a destiny, it is a journey.” This definition would mean the scope of ‘success’ is not limited to a onetime event, but one successful event after another, through the ups and downs of life’s journey. Welcome to the journey!

At this staff conference we especially want to pray for all the UBF families living in or near the Pacific Northwest. From 2018, our annual staff conferences will be in January in the Chicago area.

On March 25, 2017 at the Chicago UBF Sunday worship service, Pastor Ron Ward awarded our 13 CBF teachers with certificates of achievement for completing eight months of education in teaching and communication skills. It was a significant landmark in raising teachers who can serve second generations’ spiritual education and to equip our one-to-one Bible teachers in the ministry of teaching regardless of class size or student numbers. This education for teachers is the one of our Teachers & Parents Education (T&PE) for our growing second generation ministry.
