World Mission News: Asia

Part1. 2016 Review

    Our ministry key verse for 2016 was Isaiah 56:7. “These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

Two families (M. Paul Yoon and Joseph Lee) are serving Cambodia campus mission since last year.

Their prayer topics are;

2017 Luke gospel study:

one Abraham and Sarah:

to pioneer Royal Pnomphen University:

Genesis conference (2 lectures, Gen 1 and 3).

    Thank you for your prayer for the engagement ceremony between Shepherd Wungreishang Hungyo and Shepherdess Paula Yumshanova from Moscow. We had an engagement ceremony on April 22, 2017 5:00pm at the JNU Center in New Delhi. Shepherd Jimmy Lee gave them God's word from Matthew 6:33-34 to encourage them to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness for their new life of mission in Moscow.

Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”

The Karawaci and Cikarang UBF joint Easter Bible conference in Indonesia was held on April 1-2. The conference began with Dr. Marie Kim who delivered the opening message. After that we had group Bible study. The group Bible studies were divided into three different groups. Since there were students who came from Nepal, who did not understand Korean or Indonesian, there was an English GBS for them. The Korean missionaries joined the group Bible study in Korean, while the native Indonesian participants attended the Group Bible study in Indonesian.

Key Verse in 2015, Genesis 17:5, “No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.”

Key verse: Deuteronomy 6:5 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

At looking back last year’s ministry, I am filled with thanksgiving heart for God’s grace and love and guiding hands. At the same time, I feel sorry to God for my unfaithfulness in serving God’s ministry. But faithful God has been merciful on us and helped us to grow in knowing him better and raised new harvest workers among us.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before him endure the cross and scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Heb12:2)
