Pastor Ron presented the Chicago report beginning with the USA/CAN Staff Conference, which had 233 attendants. For the first time in history, we asked our attendants to give feedback about the conference. Based on their responses, the messages overall got high marks. The next Staff Conference will be in Minneapolis, MN August 26-28. Staff shepherds also decided to have a Leaders Conference June 16-19 in Toledo. They plan to study 2 Samuel. Leaders between the ages of 25-35 will be invited to participate. Pastor Ron also mentioned the Midwest Regional Conference, which is planned to be held in Peoria, IL July 8-11. He also mentioned the plan to refurbish the Chicago center, which includes new carpet and chairs.

Peter Song reported on the New York ministry. He prayed for their study of Luke¡¯s gospel and for the leadership of David Baik. God is working mightily in the hearts of Columbia, NYU, and Queen¡¯s College students through David Lee. Peter Song requested prayer for their Easter Conference and Student Leaders Conference, April 9-10.

The report for Los Angeles was given by Matthew Kim. In LA, there are four American shepherds who take turns preparing the Sunday message and the questions for their passage. LA UBF is in the process of forming a Finance Committee for the sake of financial transparency and accountability. They pray to have quarterly financial meetings throughout the year. Their Spring Bible Conference will be on April 2-4, and they pray to invite 50 new students. They pray for 300 people altogether to attend.

Dr. John Jun gave world mission prayer topics. The next UBF newsletter will include directors¡¯ conference reports. There will be a Middle East Leaders Conference held on April 9-12. Teddy Hembekides , Moses Yoon, and Dr. John Jun have been invited to speak. Thank God that Josué Jun in Chile is safe despite the earthquakes that have struck his country. Dr. John Jun asked the board of elders to pray especially for house churches in America. The elders prayed to help young people have a biblical view toward marriage. They plan to dedicate the last Tuesday of every month to pray for young people.
