Thank God for blessing our first Bible Academy for 2010 on February 24. This time, we tried a new format. Each student chose a key verse for 2010 and based on that verse, prepared a powerpoint presentation about their vision, prayer topic, and small decisions.
M. Philip delivered a short message on what is God¡¯s vision, why we need it, and how we can have it.
Three UW students, Trevor, Jolene, and Jon attended the meeting and two Korean students came. Because of a schedule conflict with their classes, many students couldn't participate. From next quarter, Seattle UBF will have a two-day academy so that more students can join.
For the year 2010, Seattle UBF is praying that the power of the gospel may overflow in us, in Seattle UBF, and in the University of Washington campus.
We are praying to give our five loaves and two fish for the
discipleship ministry. The first Bible Academy was small, but all the attendees really enjoyed it. After attending for the first time, Jon wanted to have a Bible academy every quarter. Currently, about 10 students are studying the Bible one-on-one each week. May God help each of them to accept the gospel deeply and be raised up as spiritual leaders in this generation!
