Dear coworkers in Christ,

Recently, I just heard the news that I've been offered a full time tenure-track faculty position at the U of C. This has been a long-term prayer topic within my family and our fellowship.

I just wanted to give thanks for God's abundant Ebenezer grace, how the Lord thus far has helped me. Particularly, I wanted to thank all the precious servants of God who have supported me and my family in their prayers.

I still remember how so many servants of God have prayed for me, including Sh. Mark and Christine from Berkeley who patiently prayed for me when I got rejected from too many medical schools, M. Joshua and Gloria's family from Arlington who prayed for me to persevere through medical school and not drop out, and Pastor Joshua in Hyde Park who prayed for me to be a faculty member even though I thought his prayer topic was a bit unrealistic. Not only that, with the recent good news of my wife's healing, this additional grace upon grace is simply overwhelming. I cannot even begin to thank enough all the countless servants of God who prayed for my family during this time.

These days, God is teaching me more of His loving character so that I may come to Him more and more in prayer. Even though I'm quite evil, I really do know how to give good gifts to my very cute daughters. And they keep asking and asking and asking, persistently without shame. However, I am not bold as my own daughters in coming to God. So I chose Luke 11:13 as my new year key verse. God truly knows how to give good gifts to His children and I am simply undeserving. May God grant me more of the work of the Holy Spirit in my life and in our ministry.
