Brother Anton was sent to Milan University as missionary candidate after being accepted to the University of Milan as a PhD student (Mathematics) with a full scholarship. He has been born again and is a very able man who is eager to serve God as a good disciple of Jesus. We pray that he may begin a ministry in Milan and be a good shepherd for many wandering students in Italy. Thank you very much for your faith, vision, and encouragement for Anton. Here is the first letter he sent us after his arrival to Italy as well as a picture of him together with his shepherds, Noah and Anna. Thank you.
Very faithfully yours,
Peter Kim

Dear brothers & sisters,
I thank God with my whole heart for all of you and all of your prayers, which have been with me throughout this whole process. Praise God that I reached my destination without any complications and received a warm welcome from two of my PhD candidate colleagues, (Barakim Diomante and Olger Metzer), who, the next day, introduced me to our advisor. For now, I communicate with them in English, but I pray to learn Italian also, since that is the language most people speak here.
I interact the most with Karim, my roommate here in one of the dorms at the university. He is a Muslim, which makes it very hard for me to tell him about Jesus. But I ask God that through our conversations about religion his eyes may be opened and he may come to know the True Living God. He is a very good and sincere man, but he views Muhammad as the one who passed on ¡°the last words of God to men.¡± Please pray for him, and also for Olger, even though I¡¯m not as close with him as I am with Karim yet.
I pray for your SWS in Kyiv, and that God would also give me wisdom on how to lead SWS here. For now I will attend a local evangelical church to help me while I still struggle with the language, and to be among other believers. But I will also follow along with messages from Kyiv UBF at the same time. I also spoke with Noah about having Bible study on the internet. I want to send a big thank you to you for everything—that you were with me and set me on the right path. Praise God that He became my God and has given me a wonderful family in Jesus, all of you!
Farewell, with only the best wishes and glory to God!
God bless,
Brother Anton
