After visiting Ottawa UBF, Samuel H. and Ok-Hee Lee visited York UBF in Toronto on Oct. 24, 2009. York UBF is pioneering York University, which is made up of 50,000 students.
York University pioneering was begun by M. John and Lidia Lee who were sent to York from Toronto UBF. M. Stephen and Petra Chung are also now serving York ministry, along with M. Daniel and Ruth Chung who joined the ministry two month ago from Korea. York UBF is a house church based in M. John¡¯s basement and is located near York University.
Samuel H. and Ok-Hee Lee had a joyful meeting and eating fellowship with all the missionaries and second generations at M. John Lee¡¯s house church. On Sunday, Oct. 25, Samuel H. Lee delivered a message with the theme, ¡°Make Disciples of All Nations¡± (Mt 28:16-20), and then they had a baptism. Brother Dr. Guodong Fu (from China), Joan Lee, and Peter Lee made vows to God and were baptized. There was also praise and worship led by second generations John Jr., Joan Lee, and John Chung, which was full of grace. After, we had communion where we shared bread and wine, eating Jesus¡¯ flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus. Through this, we could be refreshed in the grace of his blood and in the confidence of salvation.
The next day, there was early morning prayer at 6 a.m. at the Worship Hall. After John Lee Jr. delivered the daily bread message, each of us had personal prayer time.
The following are York UBF¡¯s 1:1 Bible students: Sade, Guodong, Tao Wang, Edith Wang, Anton Metelkine, Prina Wong, and Eric.
