Nigeria News and Prayer Topics

Praise be to Jesus, who is our Savior and Christ. I thank God for using you all preciously for world mission. May God fill you with the Holy Spirit and strengthen you.

In Nigeria right now, we are praying and preparing for our Thanksgiving Worship Service (Nov 29), Christmas Worship Service (Dec 20), and Discipleship Training Conference (Dec 24-27). We are going to have prayer meetings for these, beginning the first week of November. Our chorus has already started to practice ¡°For Unto Us a Child Is Born¡± twice a week.

Throughout this past year, we have been praying earnestly for twelve disciples. The Lord heard our prayer and brought many potential disciples, as our missionaries and leaders devoted themselves to the Lord and lovingly worked together. And now this Christmas season, we are so thankful to God for the new disciples in our ministry, the fruit and treasure of our past year.

By God's grace, we also found a Bible House near LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital Medical School). It is still under construction, but will be completed by early December. We will hold a pioneering worship service for this new campus January 10, 2010, hosted by James and Ronke's family and the Mustard Seed Fellowship. This year, five new medical students have developed a relationship with us, and our current medical students Gabriel, Ibukun, Jenifer, and Mojirayo are growing steadily. We pray that God will advance the gospel to this campus through our pioneering work, so that the young students of LUTH may be saved and become disciples of Jesus.

We are praying to send Joshua to pioneer Ghana in October 2010. He has the spirit of Jesus and is in his final year of school. Please pray that God would enable our ministry to bring the gospel to the 156 campuses in Nigeria and the 12 countries of West Africa.

Please pray that Aquila Tunde (USA) and Emmanuel and Legrand (Cameroon) can participate in our Discipleship Training Conference.

We also pray to establish five house churches among our young leaders. And please pray for our family to be able to successfully support ourselves materially. I pray that God may bless you and empower you through his word and the Holy Spirit to serve Jesus¡¯ world mission command fruitfully and successfully. Thank you.

In Christ,
Peter Park, Nigeria
