St. Petersburg Celebrates Its 19th Anniversary
We thank and praise God for blessing our 19th anniversary commemoration service, which we held on October 25, 2009.
Caleb Han delivered the main message, speaking on Matthew 9:37-38:
"Then he said to his disciples, ¡®The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.¡¯¡±
One member, Natasha, shared with us how God has worked through the ministry in the last year, and Mike Thompson, a missionary, shared his life testimony. The commemoration was prepared prayerfully and received the Lord¡¯s blessing. Through the service, we abandoned the idea that we needed more missionaries from the US and Korea to come, in order for our ministry to be successful. We realized, instead, that those of us here needed to take personal responsibility over the harvest field God has set before us.
Just within this year, God has raised Anna (a Biology graduate student), Ryuda (a Mathematics student in her junior year), and Little Sarah (a second-year Dentistry school student) as good coworkers in the ministry.
We give God all glory and thanks. We especially thank M. Grace for her love and care. And we thank God for his sovereignty and love for the Thompson family, for taking care of his visa problem, and for providing him a job. It truly is God's grace. Charles Thompson is also adjusting pretty well. He and Ruth are God's precious children.
In Christ,
Sarah Han
