Colorado Springs UBF News and Prayer Topics by M. Stephen Kim
There has been a great work of God recently in our ministry. It has been
2 years since I came to America and 1 year for my wife,
M. Grace, and our children. Though I visited the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) on the weekends and
evenings, we did not raise any student disciples. There were 10 students
who made 1:1 Bible study appointments, but none of them kept their promises. Due to
this disappointment with UCCS students, we began from several months ago to invite students from the Air Force
Academy. But there were difficulties in entering
the campus as visitors. Therefore, we prayed to know which campus we should
serve.
Recently, M. Grace improved her driving skills and was able to visit UCCS by herself. Two weeks ago, we studied Mk 9:23, ¡°'If
you can?' said Jesus. 'Everything is possible for him who believes.'¡± We
were challenged because we had been living in unbelief. So M.
Grace started visiting UCCS by herself during the day, and there was a great
work of God. She made 1:1 Bible study appointments with 4 students within an hour.
Two of them kept their promises. One of them brought her friend to the
Bible study. While they were studying 1:2, a male student who was passing by joined them.
So she had a 1:3 Bible study at the campus. Again, she met 2 more
students after several days. After 2 days of inviting students, M. Grace
got positive responses from 6 students in total. Last Sunday, M. Grace had 1:1
Bible studies with some female students, and this last week, she had made Bible study
appointments with all of them. Thank and praise God for his mighty work.
Morgan, Jessica, Phoung, and Natalie are the names of those who had 1:1
Bible study. On the other hand, there are no faithful 1:1
male students. I only send my Sunday sermons to some male students, Brian, Taylor, Micah, and
Joseph.
We are praying that God may accept our five loaves and
two fish. We are also praying to raise 2 disciples by next year.
Please also pray for M. Grace who was diagnosed with an early stage of high blood
pressure. Please pray for her blood pressure to go back to normal and for her to eat carefully.
