Central Asia Missionary Conference Report
The Central Asia conference ended on June 19th at 9 a.m. Missionaries (about 20 people) and staff shepherds gathered and held a missionaries¡¯ conference for one day from about 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Though it was a short conference, it was full of content and strengthened our co-workers.
Dr. John Jun led the group Bible study on Galatians 5:16-26 from 10:30-12:30 am. Missionaries learned the secret of how to be empowered spiritually. The lecture was interesting and graceful, in which he dealt with practical problems. Dr. John Jun gave them the prayer topic to repent of their sinful desires, which hinder the leading and receiving of the Holy Spirit.
Next, M Isaac Yim, M James Ahn and M Stud Cho gave their mission reports. M Isaac Yim came to Oshe, Kirgyzstan as the first UBF silver missionary. In Korea he retired from his job as an elementary school teacher and came as a silver missionary by faith. He co-works with M Caleb Kim and supports him in Moshe UBF. He learned the language and teaches Korean at Oshe University as a Korean professor.
M James Ahn went to Tajikistan last year. Now he studies language and goes fishing on campus. M Stud Cho became the director of the Middle East. He reported on the new history in the Middle East on native new leaders who have been delivering the messages since last April.
Dr. Samuel H. Lee delivered his lecture on, ¡°Nevius mission strategy.¡± Dr. Choo Chan Kim gave the main message, ¡°The early Christians¡¯ faith and life.¡± After that we held a group discussion. Even though it was just a one-day conference, God blessed it to be full of content and strength.
