Israel 3rd Bible Academy Report

Israel 3rd Bible Academy Report

Praise God, who is living and working and blesses faith, who abundantly blessed our 3rd Bible Academy with the Holy Spirit. Thank God who gave us the privilege to pray for and serve God¡¯s beloved people of Israel with the gospel of Jesus!

We had the 3rd Bible Academy at Fiscard Zev in Jerusalem on June 7, 2009. Three Hebrew students, three co-workers, one 2nd gen from the USA, and four second gen of co-workers came. In total, 11 people attended this Bible Academy.

The lecture title was ¡°The Healthy Life,¡± based on Mark 2, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. The message was delivered in a school lecture style, and we also had a heated discussion session.

First of all, the message pointed out that the basic human problem is sin problem, with the examples of a paralytic man and a tax collector. Also it testified that Jesus has authority to solve man¡¯s sin problem through our faith. M J S testified that Jesus, who is a stumbling stone to the Jews to accept him as the Messiah, is God incarnate, with many examples from the Old Testament. Then, there were many questions and a discussion. Through this discussion we found out prayer topics—what to pray for students, by finding out their viewpoint of Messiah, of that of the word of God, and what their hindrances are to believe in Jesus as their Messiah. And I could believe that someday God will surely open the spiritual eyes of our sheep, and enable them to confess Jesus as their Lord and Christ in God¡¯s time, by faith.

We are breaking the stone of unbelief among college students with the hammer of the gospel. Our God is perfect and faithful. God is good and perfect, and he rules everything in the best way in his sovereignty, even though we do not have immediate fruit and God seems to be working slowly. We realized our God-given privilege, God¡¯s grace, and God¡¯s blessing for us to serve Hebrew students who are God¡¯s chosen children. Personally, I accepted and held Jesus¡¯ personal voice to me: ¡°Do not be afraid. Just believe.¡± This means that we believe, challenge, and wait. I believe that God will restore Israel in His time and open it to the whole world, for God¡¯s glory. We could see that the Holy Spirit is working among Arie (physics major), Vadim (pharmacy major), and Sagi (biology major) with the eyes of faith. I pray that we may intercede for them early every morning, challenge them through one-to-one Bible study, and serve them continually.

I believe that God will raise ancestors of faith among Hebrew University students in the future. I pray that God may raise Hebrew University as a kingdom of priests and a holy nation, and bear the role of main character to restore the kingdom of God in the future.
