Bolivia UBF experienced a turning point in their campus discipleship ministry in 2002. M. Paulina Cho visited the campus everyday. Then slowly God blessed this and sent medical students--two, then four, then nine and more. Through this I learned that we should not give up our lives as campus evangelists even if we don¡¯t see visible fruit at once.
Presently, we have four fellowships that pioneer each different college department of the University. Laymen shepherds like Sh. Abraham Erik and Sh. Mateo Carmelo visit the campus before going to work in the morning and during their lunch time.
God sent many new students as the fruit of our campus Bible study ministry last semester until we now have 50 1:1 Bible studies and 40 Sunday worship attendants.
After the Purdue conference, I visited Korea and underwent surgery for hemorrhoids, and returned to Bolivia. Thank God for the Bolivian shepherds¡¯ spiritual growth during my absence. They began to grow as independent shepherds; especially, they began making offerings towards a new center building.
Prayer topics for Bolivia UBF are:
- Offerings toward purchasing land for a new center
- 100 1:1 Bible studies and 80 Sunday attendants by 2010
- 100 mission-centered house churches and sending 12 missionaries by 2015
