Korea World Mission Report by Sh. Moses Lee

I thank God who blessed the 2008 Purdue International Summer Bible Conference abundantly. God blessed this conference so that a total of 3439 people attended this conference. I thank God that those who attended the conference received God¡¯s grace and his great love in their hearts through the mighty work of God¡¯s word. I thank God who gave us world mission vision and his grace through graceful life testimonies and history mission reports of all nations.

We had a world mission report for the Purdue Int¡¯l Summer Bible Conf. on Aug. 25th at 8 pm at the Korean Church¡¯s 100th Memorial Hall in Seoul, Korea. Shepherd Spurgeon Lee reported on the work of God¡¯s word at the conference. He reported that each messenger delivered their messages very powerfully so that all people who attended the conference received God¡¯s great love, and were moved by the Holy Spirit. He reported that God is the God of love who even accepts the prodigal son, and saved Zacchaeus who had been lost. He also reported on the great love of Jesus and his forgiving grace revealed on the cross when he prayed ¡°Father, Forgive Them.¡± And he emphasized that this gospel should be preached through the whole world. Shepherd Abraham Suh reported about the evening programs for world mission. He reported that the mission history and prayer topics were clear at a glance through the presentation of each continent, and he showed part of the presentation on Africa as an example. There were life testimony sharing of shepherds from each country, and especially there were over 500 people who made a decision to live as future missionaries. Dr. James Suh shared his life testimony based on Psalm 1 which he had already shared at Dr. Lee¡¯s tomb after the conference. His testimony moved us, because we heard Dr. Lee loved God¡¯s words and that he gave us clear direction to go back to the Bible. Personally Dr. Lee loved Dr. James Suh himself so much.

There was also the Mongolia mission report by Missionary Matthew Lim who visited Korea shortly. He reported of his conquering the Mongolian language 17 years ago, and translating the Bible into Mongolian, and God¡¯s redemptive work though 1:1 Bible study. He focused on raising up God¡¯s servants even though they were small in number. Also, Missionary H. from Lebanon reported about the difficulty of not being able to preach the gospel freely in a Muslim country, the hot temperature over 40 degrees celcius, and fear due to wars etc. She shared that when she preached the gospel under these difficult situations by faith, God helped her to raise up his remnant sheep such as L., M., K., and A., and she also saw the season of Christ in Middle East countries.

All those who attended the world mission report in Seoul, Korea received much grace and world mission vision in their hearts, and they prayed in united prayer for the raising of 100,000 missionaries by 2040, for Dr. John Jun and Mother Barry to have full of the Holy Spirit and strong health so that they might serve world mission ministry powerfully. There will also be a world mission report at Daejon, Daegu, Ulsan, Inje, Kwangju, and Kangneung chapters from Aug 26th in Korea.
